It’s always a treat to return to the luxurious pre-Awards show suites to catch up on the latest beauty products and treatments because you get to touch base with fashion/entertainment journalists, stylists and producers at the beginning of the season. Ensconced in the cool, white marble elegance of the Raffles L’Ermitage, this year’s Get Glam/Do Good suite, cosponsored by Biolage and Glamour magazine, was a delightful beauty oasis in the sunny Garden Suite.

Posh surroundings included a well-stocked bar with cold refreshments and delicious made-to-order sandwiches. When Access Hollywood’s Lizza Morales arrived with a crew, we had a catch-up bask in the golden aura of the over-privileged while style masters Enzo Angileri and Dave Mazza, as well as their associates, coiffed the tresses of Hollywood’s grand divas and blossoming youth.
Fresh-on-the-beauty-scene BIOLAGE colorcarethérapie Shielding Shine Mist was a welcome addition to our overflowing gift bag, and we couldn’t wait to use the Hydraseal Leave-in Crème on our tired tresses.
With his usual grace and flair, make-up artist extraordinaire Tim Quinn from Giorgio Armani Cosmetics painted the celebs with the collection’s Hollywood Edition 2006. The kit’s gold and star purple blend masterfully with the mink brown and sunset shades to create a look that hints at the mystery of the Golden Age of Hollywood, allowing those of us who aspire to look like movie stars capture their glamour. For lips, we could not resist the classic allure of Armani’s stunning Shine lipstick 31 Hollywood Red.

All eyes turned to Nip/Tuck’s Kelly Carlson when she made her entrance. The looks of the forthcoming blonde bombshell alternate between those of a young Cybil Shepherd and the luscious Marilyn Monroe.
Michelle Trachtenberg is all grown-up and gorgeous. Other young beauties included exotic Kelly Hu and ingénue Caitlin Wachs from the WB’s Family Affair. Emmanuelle Chriqui, who sparkled In the Mix, was also there””although with three movies in post-production, we don’t know how she found the time. We also saw the daring diva and sweet young swan of our fave our show, Desperate Housewives, the respective Terri Hatcher and Andrea Bowen.
Lost’s Maggie Grace and Emilie de Ravin, young Emmy winner Eden Riegel from All My Children, Nip/Tuck’s Brittany Snow and The OC’s Navi Rawat also emerged. Corri English from Joan of Arcadia stopped by, as did Cori Randall, Ariel Kebbel and Beverly Hills’ own Kim Stewart. We just missed bad girl Courtney Love.
