Earth Month is here and “Aveda Earth Day Beach Cleanups“ is calling on the company’s network of salons and community members to participate in a series of cleanups around California. The goal is to strategically take local and global action to protect waterways, promote organic farming, empower communities and help make clean water accessible to everyone – everywhere. Aveda is working to end the daily struggle of more than 1 billion people worldwide that lack access to clean and safe drinking water.
Here is your chance to nurture the planet and support your neighborhoods. Join and contribute your time to cleaning up our west coast waters with the Aveda teams meeting at beaches throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.

What a great idea. I’ll have to see if Aveda is doing this for the East Coast – especially Cape Cod and the Islands (Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket).
