Oscar Contenders Still Win With Swag

By Abbey Khan

What’s better than getting the Oscar? How about getting the swag. Here’s a run down of what nominees, presenters, and other celebrities took home.

Since diamonds are a girl’s best friend and her hair is her crown, CHI created the Million Dollar Diamond CHI™ Ceramic Flat Iron. Celebrities like Neve Campbell, Marla Sokoloff, and Stacey Keibler previewed the styling tool which was unveiled at Platinum Pubicity’s Luxury Suite. The 6,800, 3pt. flawless diamonds individually set on an 18 karat gold casing dazzled everyone in attendance. The “Million Dollar Diamond CHI™ Ceramic Flat Iron” will tour selected cities and events to bring awareness to victims of conflict diamonds, and then it will be sold with a portion of the proceeds going towards the victims of conflict diamonds. Guests also took home limited edition blow dryers, flat irons, and other styling products from CHI worth over $300.

Both the men and women couldn’t get enough of the Lotus 9 pieces. The guys loved the rocker leather cuffs and Kathy Hilton took home new skull earrings for herself and Paris. A-listers also took home the Dirt Devil Kone for easy cleaning, delectable new chocolate by Hershey’s called Cacao Reserve, and Samsonite Signat mini-luggage.

At the Liberace Suite, Dermacia makeup was very popular with the women. Actress Kimberly Joseph (Lost) swears by it and Clare Grant (Black Snake Moan) found her perfect match, and loved it so much that she even took home their cleanser and toner.

The ladies weren’t the only ones having fun. Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives) walked away with softer hands after a massage treatment by Eminence Organics, and he absolutely fell in love with Tabacalera del Oriente’s Peruvian cigars.

The next stop was the Sonya Dakar-Adwil Agency Oscar Beauty & Gifting Lounge. The beautiful Gwyneth Paltrow got her skin glowing with Sonya Dakar’s signature Oscar Facial, which is a combination of her Fitness Facial, her UltraLuxe Facial, her Red Light Collagen treatment, and the Oxygen Treatment. Paltrow even autographed a bottle of Sonya Dakar’s signature 365 SPF 30, which will be auctioned off this summer with 100% of the proceeds going to CancerCare (www.cancercare.org).

Angela Kingsley (The Office) who claims to be a bath junkie picked up one of each of the products on display from LUSH. She couldn’t wait to treat herself to a bath and give her husband a massage with the brand’s Wiccy Magic Muscles Massage Bar.

Comedian Chris Kattan and his fiancé Sunshine received a trip from Caribbean Escapes to the Mayan Riviera for their honeymoon which went perfectly with Sunshine’s shining 5 carat engagement ring that no one could take their eyes off.

And rounding off the celebration was the Haven Suite, which was held in a private house with a pool, making everyone feel right at home. Lori Hart of About Face Studio gave her revolutionary anti-aging treatments to top Hollywood actresses who would rather not be named. But if they don’t look their age & don’t look like they had plastic surgery, then Hart worked on them. Mischa Barton walked away with not one, not two, but four Nieves Lavi dresses and Hayden Paniettiere (Heroes) had her hair done by Warren-Tricomi stylists.
