Living in Los Angeles, we have come to know the refinement of certain locales and why their reputations precede them. One in particular is the Hotel Bel-Air. From the outdoor dining to the serenity of its gardens, this hotel offers every bit of the elegant privacy Angeleans covet to get away from Hollywood’s bustle.

The intimacy of the grounds are created in part due to the tropical outdoor scents of orange blossom, herbs and sycamore trees. Thus, it only made sense to indulge guests in an equally alluring fragrance once they retreated to their rooms . . .

Antica Farmacista, an Italian fragrance and apothecary collection, teamed up with the hotel in an exclusive partnership to bring the essence of these gardens indoors. Inspired by these very gardens, Antica Farmacista introduced a collection comprised of four signature home fragrances called Essenza di Bel-Air.

Each home fragrance is more lovely than the other. The Essenza di Bel-Air collection embodies flower gardens, orange blossoms, rich earth (a sophisticated vanilla with scents amber and pine) and lavender fields. Without a doubt, my favorite is the Giardino di Fiore (Flower Garden) – a romantic burst of rose, peony and gardenia fragrances that sweeten the air in any room.

Each home fragrance is encased in an antique glass bottle that utilizes wooden reeds to permeate and infuse the air almost immediately. The perfect alternative to the tired candle, these are sophisticatedly charming gifts for any host or hostess this summer.
