Perfume On A Palette

By C S

Over the course of my countless perfume-shopping experiences, I have purchased bottles of varying shapes and sizes from slender tubes to apple-shaped jars and miniature perfume bottles to giant Chanel No. 5 collectibles.

But I was truly amazed by Sonia Kashuk’s first solid perfume palette. Kashuk, who is well known for her tireless efforts in pushing the beauty envelope, has created a new beauty must-have for perfume lovers in an elegant case that slips into your purse with ease.

When I first opened the silver, triangular case, I saw three circles of solid fragrance in varying shades of the perfume (top, middle and base notes). The top note is the first impression of the perfume. The middle note gives the perfume’s true personality, and the base note is the thickest and fullest part of the perfume.

The perfume palette is made of light powder and you apply the scent on various pulse points on your wrist, elbow and behind the ear in various combinations. The fragrance is delicate, but the packaging above all is delightful. It’s a true “toy” for women who love beauty innovations.

The solid perfume palette comes in three fragrances: Citron and Pink Manadarin, White Gardenia and Black Vetiver and Ginseng Blossom and Tuberose. It is available in Target stores and www.Target.com
