Keeping up with the Colorists

Texas is all about big hair with lots of tease. Seattle women treasure good texture with the relentless rain. But the women of Los Angeles, they love great hair color. The summer shades of glistening gold are transitioning to rich hues in deep dark browns and blondes in pale ash. And to get the hair hue of the next season, it’s crucial to pick the right colorist.

Robert Hickland
Head of State: Hickland has tended to the tresses of notable famous females including Jenna Fischer of the Office.
Lust and Locks: After being trained as an artist, Hickland transferred his painting prowess into the art of hair coloring. He says that 75% of his clients are seeking hair color help and he specializes in translucency and tones.

Tracey Cunningham

Lust and Locks: As the Redken Creative Consultant for Color, Cunningham often predicts the “hair forecast” for the changing seasons. For fall, she’s betting that earthier, deeper and richer shades, sans highlights, will be a top trend.

Victor Hugo
