After working in a hair salon washing hair for three years during high school, I became familiar with a plethora of hair products ranging from shampoos and conditioners to hair colors and straightening treatments. When BN asked me to test out Slatkin Hair Therapy, it seemed like a perfect match.

Let’s face it: coming face to face with the shampoo aisle at any drug store can be more intimidating than walking into a bar with too many good looking men to choose from. There are too many options: style, size, shape, affordability and most importantly, quality. Ultimately, you want your hair products to treat you right and you are looking for the one to cater to your needs.

Since I have curly hair, I have the option of going for the crazy-curled-tendrils look or, time permitting, the straight-do. Therefore, I tested the products both styling my locks curly and then again using a hair dryer and ceramic flat iron.

Slatkin’s hair therapy fortifying shampoo not only leaves your hair luxuriously scented, but it also revives and protects all hair types. Cleansers derived from coconut, corn, and oat provides gentle cleansing. When washing your hair, you never want a shampoo that will leave you with that “squeaky-clean” texture or feeling on your tresses. This leads to stripping or drying. Slatkin’s fortifying shampoo, cleanses sans stripping or drying. Pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin H strengthen and condition and a blend of botanical proteins help maintain moisture balance in hair and the scalp. Slatkin’s fortifying shampoo includes an exclusive blend of antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E called oxymulti-V. This blend of botanical extracts work together to protect, replenish, and nourish hair, which enhances hydration and reconditioning benefits improving elasticity and safeguarding your hair from damaging effects of environmental agents.

The Slatkin hair therapy nourishing conditioner helps restore shine and soften all hair types. Created with hydrating shea butter and a specially formulated blend of penetrating conditioners, including a honey derivative, this conditioner nourishes and detangles tresses while providing fullness and body. This conditioner will not weigh down your hair or make it feel coated as some other nourishing conditioners do. With my hair being curly, I usually do not use conditioner sparingly, however with Slatkin a small amount goes a long way and also gets the job done.

Having curly hair has been a struggle and I am constantly looking for new products to tame my mane and give me a good blow-out. My hair was left with a beautiful shine and extremely soft. The orange flower and citron scent will give your hair a lasting aroma, even into the next day.
