Alas, we’re on our last full month of summer. We’ve worked our bikini-ready bods on every beach in southern California, and it’s about time to start switching from tank tops to sweatshirts. But don’t get caught up in the autumn hibernation and let all your hard work go to waste. Just because summer’s end is nearing, it doesn’t mean that your summertime bod has to do the same. Granted that as we trade in that colorful bikini for a pair of cozy boots it’s natural to slack on the 3-days-a-week gym workout schedule, we still need to take our health and bodies into consideration. With just a few easy changes in diet alone, you can keep up your sexy summer figure during the colder seasons that lie ahead. Here are some substitutions for a few of our favorite snack and junk foods. Proof is in the numbers (of calories that is), and these health-conscious choices will keep you looking good the whole season through.
- Instead of satisfying your chocolate craving with a Hershey’s Bar, try a Rainforest Cacao Chocolate Bar, which is low in fat and high in antioxidants. -It’ll save you 210 calories.
- Instead of a slice of pepperoni pizza, try a slice of vegetable pizza on thin crust- It will save you 110 calories.
- Instead of a few Ritz Crackers with cheddar cheese, try a string cheese and slice of prosciutto. – It will save you 110 calories.
- Instead reaching for the potato chips and ranch dip, try hummus and a variety of veggies”“ It’ll save 170 calories.
- Instead of regular tuna in a can, try d’day gourmet tuna ““ Saves you 85 calories.
- Instead of a going for Pringles chips, try light buttered popcorn- It’ll save you 70 calories.
