May is mom-month. Same time every year. We know it, you know it, dad knows it. Yet somehow, without fail, every year the day seems to pop up out of nowhere. The brunch reservation has been made, mom has called (again) to request we “wear something other than black,” and we find ourselves suddenly reminded of the gift we never bought.
