Scents of the Season

Though our changing seasons in the City of Angels aren’t as obvious as in other places, the LA locals are well schooled on the subtleties of Mother Nature’s hints here. Contrary to what our east coast counterparts think, the weather actually does drop a few degrees. The air becomes crisper come October. We get some rain. The leaves all change from green to orange. Well, some of them do.

And with each approaching season, there comes with it an air of romance and possibility. Perhaps it’s the atmosphere telling us the earth is revolving and we can too ““ should we desire.

However one sees the onset of autumn, the parfums in the Laura Mercier collection will bring an air of French romanticism to even the most cynical of souls. Three unique scents make up the parfum collection and each is created uniquely from notes of warm amber, vanilla, plumeria, pink geranium, bergamot or white rose buds.

Admittedly, I’m a longtime devotee of Eau de Lune®. This light and sensual scent is based on notes of amber and musk ““ then topped with fresh plumeria, rose and blends of white flower petals, mandarin and hints of violet.

So lovely.

So suitably named after moon drops “¦ that might just fall from an autumn sky.
