Denim aficionados in Los Angeles have been flocking to WORK in Echo Park for exceptional quality and tailor-made custom jeans. Going to WORK for the first time, you are taken aback by the broad and expansive layout of the shop. As you walk in, a seamstress is on a machine working away, colorful thread boards are seen next to scissors displayed neatly against a wall, denim swatches hanging under the stairs, and an open loft style work space above. You’re literally walking into an artist’s studio.

What can you expect after your measurements are taken? You’re first shown a variety of denims; over 100 distinct types are available in store. Next, you move on to threads, fabric treatments, styles, cuts and hardware and make your individual selections. After a custom fitting with WORK’s tailors, your one of a kind denim is ready to rock in just two days.

Beware the two month waiting list, but let’s be real-it’s a small price to pay for couture.
