Another worthy cause to watch is the Children’s Institute, Inc. Since 1906, this human interest group has provided a support system to Los Angeles area children who have been traumatized by violence. They believe the lives of at-risk children can be turned around through positive and effective intervention.

The Children’s Institute, Inc. has multiple programs that help abused children heal. Programs include Early Intervention, Prevention, Treatment, Community Service, and the Leadership Center. Together or individually, these programs give children and their families the therapeutic support they need to get their lives back.

The non-profit organization also has volunteer positions available.
