Buster and Sullivan is an upscale dog boutique located just four blocks away from the beach in downtown Manhattan Beach, California. Buster and Sullivan is owned mother and daughters-team Sydney, Courtney, and Chelsea Cicourel. They recently opened a second location in the crossroads shopping center in Malibu, California. The Manhattan Beach store is located in the newly constructed Metlox Center - home to the hip Shade hotel, Trilogy Spa, and only True Religion Denim store in the country.

Over the past few years, dogs have become one’s best accessory, with boutiques catering solely to the latest fashions for dogs, Isaac Mizrahi designing a very successful pet line for Target, and the well publicized death of Leona Helmsley, who left over twelve million dollars to her Maltese, Trouble. In 2007 alone, Americans spent over 44 billion on pet products.

That said, Buster and Sullivan is the place to go if you are looking to feel good about indulging your four-pawed friend in unique and decadent gifts. Upon entering Buster and Sullivan, one is more often than not greeted by the friendly store dogs. The store has a chic, 1940’s Parisian flair to it. The store is welcoming and quite amusing with vintage black and white photographs of dogs covering the walls.

The doggy couture at Buster and Sullivan has something for everyone. With over ninety manufacturers, consumers are sure to stumble upon plenty. From customized tees to Laker jerseys to chew toys labeled “Bark Jacobs” and “Dogue Magazine,” Buster and Sullivan is sure to become Fido’s new favorite spot.
