Forget Superman: Nature Girl Harnesses the Power of Organic Ingredients to Make Great Products For Your Body & Hair!

By Stefanie Schwalb

Let’s face it, organic is in. It’s hip to be square if it means you are doing something good for your body and the world around you. And nowhere has this been proven more apparent to me than with my latest all-natural discovery, Nature Girl. This organically-grown line of hair and body products, sourced from small, family-run farms around the globe, incorporates hand-picked, all-natural, and wild-crafted ingredients that are great “food” for your skin. It also donates a large portion of its after-tax proceeds to projects that enhance the lives of women and the environment, which, as you know, is great food for your soul.

Founded by Nannette Pallrand, the creator Rich Hippie organic perfume, this chic botanical bounty of products is packed with a variety of herbal extracts. Nature Girl was developed to nurture and protect the skin in a way that’s safe for your health and the environment. The line ranges from bath salts, body lotions, body washes, oils and scrubs to face masks, moisturizers, shampoos and conditioners. Signature products include the Nature Love Shea Butter Body Cream, Flower Power Botanical Body Lotion, and Nature Groupie Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash. Each of them features superior healing, soothing, and moisturizing properties, all of which are chemical-free.

My faves in this line include the Nature Groupie Body Wash, the Peace Love Nature Baby Face Lotion, and the Paint It Green Green Tea Body Clay. The body wash is soothing on the skin yet very invigorating in the shower and features ingredients such as lavender, grapefruit, organic aloe vera and coconut. It’s a great way to start the day. The face lotion is simply one of the best I’ve ever used. It’s amazing on sensitive-skin gals like myself and doesn’t wear heavy or greasy in the hazy, summer sun. It includes ingredients such as wild-crafted shea butter, safflower oil, and sea algae. It comes in five synergies to suit every skin type. The body clay includes one of my favorite ingredients, green tea (among others), and for me it’s a great once a week, in-home spa treat to detoxify and revitalize the skin.

Nature Girl has become a huge hit overseas in Britain with support from big-name TV actresses such as Donna Air and renowned environmentalist Lady Bamford, who owns and runs the Bamford Hay Barn (a well-known organic spa and yoga studio). Nature Girl was part of the Bamford Hay Barn launch, which has meant press coverage in popular English mags such as Tatler and British Vogue. Stateside, Ian Ginsburg, the owner of C.O. Bigelow, is a big supporter of the line as is early celeb adopters such as Mary Kate Olsen. Her preferred product for perfecting her locks is Nature Girl’s Nature Rinse Lemon Thyme Botanical Créme Rinse.

Nature Girl products are available for purchase on their website, at www.nordstrom.com, at select Nordstrom stores, and at C.O. Bigelow. For more information, check out www.nature-girl.com.
