Pharmacopia fans can now rejoice in their latest offerings from the famed bath & body company. The most exciting part is that the body lotions, hand creams and body washes contain new paraben-free formulations. This means less harmful preservatives and more healthy goodness for you! With friendly, lower prices, the organic collection is available in therapeutic scent blends of Lavender, Rosemary, Ginger and Citrus.
I like the non-greasy texture of the Organic Body Lotion ($16.99). With 80% organic ingredients (aloe vera gel, shea butter, olive oil, etc.), you’re bound to have the silkiest skin ever. I find the Citrus scent very cheery, with invigorating touches of neroli, tangerine and grapefruit.
The mild Organic Body Wash ($14.99) is quite soothing with no sodium lauryl nor sodium laureth sulfates (harsh irritants). As a gal with mild eczema, this is a welcoming change from all the other mass-market brands. I like to use the Lavender scented one in my bath.
The moisturizing Hand Creams ($15, 4 oz.) are just amazing. Healing and comforting, it’s a richer version of the body lotion. The Ginger scent reminds me of spicy goodies baking in my oven. A small amount goes a long way, so use sparingly. Apply it on your hands and feet before bedtime, then put on your spa booties and mitts. Instant spa treatment!
The new Organic Soap ($11) is intoxicating. Hand made with 74% organic ingredients, it has a very creamy lather (great for shaving). Each generous 7oz. bar is handmade with aromatherapy-grade essential oils and beautifully packaged. I especially loved the mint leaves in the Rosemary blend. The lovely fresh scent lingers delicately after a long shower.
I’m a sucker for the calming Lavender Bath Salts, which contain both Epsom salts (muscle-relaxing) and sea salts (detoxifying). The 6 oz tin ($9) is perfect for a decadent bath treat. Team it up with the warming Ginger Body Oil ($9) for a body massage and I guarantee pure bliss.
