‘Frankie Says Relax’ at The Argyle

By Irene Manahan

After endlessly scouring racks and shelves of after Thanksgiving sale items at ridiculous hours of the day, I think we can all agree that no one is in better need of a day at the spa than anxious holiday shoppers.

The Argyle Salon and Spa in West Hollywood has been recognized in over four dozen fashion and beauty publications and was awarded “Best Spa Treatment Rooms” by Los Angeles Magazine’s Best of LA.

Located at the Sunset Tower Hotel, alongside some of Hollywood’s most recognized landmarks, the two-level Argyle Salon and Spa is an elegantly enclosed landscaped terrace. Stroll through the veranda, passed cabanas and spa suites, to enter the Salon and Spa. Upon arrival, accommodating members of staff will joyfully greet guests with boxed chocolates as they work to promptly start treatments.

The Argyle is known for its spacious rooms, open windows and excellent views of the city. Every marble-floored private spa suite is complete with a bath tub, shower, restroom, vanity, flat screen TV, lounge area, robe and sandals. Oversized suites include a mini-bar and two massage beds, perfect for couples, and can accommodate up to eight guests. Aestheticians, therapists, med-spa practitioners and even a butler will meet you in your suite to deliver anything to enhance your stay.

The Spa offers fifty, eighty and one hundred ten minute custom massages including a hot stone, a four-hands and a signature Ambassador massage combining Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue and Shiatsu techniques, which was luxurious and invigorating to this weary Black Friday shopper. The masseuse was both capable and professional, balancing much-needed quiet time with friendly conversation. The Argyle also provides custom facials including collagen masks, balancing peels and oxygen revitalizers; full body treatments like mud masks, scrub and healing wraps; and laser dermatology including hair reduction and vein removal treatments.

The Argyle’s exclusive Hamman, a Turkish Bath and steam-heated room, is made of completely of marble. Personal attendants custom blend a mixture of scrubs, oils and emollients for your use during and after your bath.

The Salon also offers hair and scalp treatments, including color enhancing, dandruff and hair loss treatments, as well as a range of styling and process options, makeup, waxing and barber services.

The Argyle Salon and Spa is available for corporate, private and non-profit events. Celebrating its one year anniversary this January, the Spa and Salon will launch Club Argyle—an incentive program allowing repeat clients to earn points in exchange for free services, including a bottle of wine.

The Argyle prides itself on its unique facility and excellent service. Honor an occasion, or simply take a day off to give yourself the gift of beauty and relaxation. This season, envelop yourself in ultimate luxury, glamour and recreation. For more information, please visit www.argylela.com.
